Michelle Duggar of the show 18 Kids and Counting is expecting her 19th child with her husband Jim Bob. I am always amazed whenever the Duggars announce a new arrival for me, I am amazed at how fast she can have a baby and then become pregnant again. I would think that after40 your fertility starts to diminish a lot. When Michelle was pregnant with Jordyn she talked alot about thinking that her child bearing years were almost behind her. Her son Josh is expecting a daughter next month also. I am happy for the Duggars, it seems like they enjoy their family life and love children a lot.

This week on 18 Kids and Counting the new episode focused on newly married Joshua and his wife Anna. They went to the beach in South Carolina and stayed in a four bedroom home there for their honeymoon. I have to say the modest bathing suit looks so uncomfortable and looks like it would be hot to wear at the beach. I mean she is married and a nice one piece bathing suit covers everything up but she can wear whatever she wants. Josh and Anna went para sailing which looked liked fun. They also went out to a fancy dinner which was foreign to them since they rarely go to nice restaurants. They also were going to sleep near the sharks in the aquarium but they left after a half hour. When they got back to Arkansas, Anna wanted to cook dinner for the entire Duggar clan.Some of the older Duggar girls went with her to Aldi’s and helped her cook the meal. We also got to see Josh at the car lot; he needs to be more convincing when he sells cars. He did not sound very knowledgable. I think the episode wasgood. I really like Anna and I think she will be a great mom.

This week on the Duggars 18 Kids and Counting, the Duggars said good bye to their beloved grandfather, J.L. Duggar. He died in his sleep which I think is very sweet; my grandparents also died in their sleep. It can be difficult to deal with this because you do not get to say good bye; but as you can tell Grandpa Duggar had a brain tumor for a year and was not even able to sleep. I am glad that he finally got to rest in peace. You can see that Jim Bob really had a hard time with this. I mean it is very hard for a man to lose his father; you can tell that the entire family really loved him. The Bates were still there and helped out the Duggars which was very nice. I thought that the slideshow that Jana made was very nice. The funeral was very sweet and the Duggars even sang at the funeral which I thought was nice. We should offer our condolences to Grandma Duggar and the entire Duggar family.

This week on the newest episode of the Duggars: 18 Kids and Counting the Bates came to help out the Duggars after the devastating ice storm that took out there electricity for over eight days and dropped many trees near their property.Now say what you want about the Bates, but I really think that they are a great family. I mean what family would take a pregnant mom with sixteen kids to go help out another huge family? I mean that is dedication and loyalty at its finest. Jana made Grandpa Duggar a banana cake birthday cake because it was his 73rd birthday. This really struck a chord with me because my grandfather died of cancer and could not speak at the end. Now, Josh and Anna are expecting a baby I had to say it is a little weird to call a camera producer before you tell your wife that she is pregnant. It sounded like they were trying to get pregnant. Now, I am lost her isn’t quiverful about just letting God plan your family size and not actively trying to get pregnant but not using birth control? Either way, the Duggars were very excited about it and I think that Josh and Anna will make great parents. I think that it was a very good episode.

Okay, this weekend I have been reading posts everywhere about Anna Duggar who is the wife of number one son and eldest Duggar child Joshua. Now, the episode last week had a promo of Anna taking another pregnancy test after she said she had taken a couple. Now, the couple was married in September and it was filmed in February and she took many pregnancy tests so I think she is not pregnant. The program talked about one life changing and a new one beginning. My theory is that around the time of the filming, Grandpa Duggar passed away so now Jim Bob’s life will change because he is the new head of his family. I could be wrong but if Anna were pregnant we would have heard by now I would think. The new life that is beginning is Mrs.Bates baby, I believe she is due right around that time. It is just a theory but I thought I would put it out there. We will have to watch the new episode on Tuesday and see what happens. What do you think about this?

This week, a new episode of the TLC show the Duggars 18 Kids and Counting aired. The episode focused around a terrible ice storm that hit Arkansas during the winter. The Duggars were without power for days and a big tree even came down and smashed their shed. The kids were very rambunctious but Kim Bob and Michelle seemed very level headed. A man named David who was with the camera crew braved the ice storm to get baby Jordyn some diapers. I thought that this was incredibly nice of him. He even got stuck on a closed road but the firefighters helped get him out and he made it back to the Duggar home. We also learned that at the time of the filming that Grandpa Duggar had only a few days to live. I am glad that he got to spend his last few days at his son’s home and be around his grandkids. During the commercial break we saw that Anna hopes to be pregnant and is taking a few pregnancy tests. I doubt that she is actually pregnant since it would have been news by now.The most scary part was that Jordyn fell ill and had to go to the hospital. I amglad that everything turned out all right for the family. What did you all think of this episode?

Now, I have watched every episode of the Duggars reality show and their specials and I actually really like this family a lot. They are debt free which is hard in this economy.The parents are involved in their kids lives even if the daughters do do a lot of the housework and take care of the younger kids a lot of the time. I think having a big family if you can afford it is a good thing. I mean people say how many resources are used in big families but most of the times they reuse things and try to save money. Jim Bob and Michelle actually seem to really love each other very much. They do not fight at all and they seem like very principled people. I like shows that stress morals; in today’s media morals are frowned upon most of the time. I mean just look at music videos; the more skin shown the more popular the music video is. Sex sells and that is sad and makes me afraid for what the world will be like when my son is a teenager. We can all learn something from the Duggars; we should try to be thrifty and live our lives according to our own morals and values and not try to be like everyone else.

On this week’s episode of The Duggars 18 Kids and Counting, two of the Duggar girls and Jordyn went with Jim Bob and Michelle to New York to be on the television show “The View”. While they were away Grandma Duggar stayed with the kids and the older children worked on a special project for their mother, Michelle. They decided to redecorate her bathroom. Jana and John David who are twins basically took the project by the horns. They went shopping and picked out a new mirror, candles,a shower curtain, a disco ball and other home accessories. The kids watched their parents and siblings on the View. Joy Anna shielded the boys from seeing women who are not modestly dressed. I guess the Duggars use the word Nike as a code word so that the boys shield their eyes from certain women when they are out and about. Michelle said this is because the eyes are the door to the heart. In the end, Michelle really loved her bathroom and the kids did a great job on their DIY project.

Now, as we all know, I watch a reality television blog. However, I watch the Duggars, and the Gosselins who are large families who have reality tv shows. Now, the Duggars have eighteen children and Jim Bob and Michelle are debt free.The Gosselins have eight children and like Nadya Suleman they chose to have fertility treatments and had multiples. The Gosselins asked for donations after their children was born as did Nadya Suleman who gets flack for it. Jon and Kate were unemployed for a while after their sextuplets were born and currently they are doing quite well for themselves because they have a reality show about their sextuplets and now do not hold down full time jobs. The question here is, if Nadya Suleman had a husband or let’s say had been widowed after having her fertility treatments would she still be treated the same way? TLC loves large families and makes many shows about them and we all watch them yet people are now saying that Nadya should not even be allowed to see her eight babies just because she has six other kids and is unemployed. Nadya used her own embryos to have a baby, she did not ask for eight babies it just happened. I think we as a society need to lifte ach other up not put each other down, these eight babies are born and no one has a right to tell you how many kids you should or should not have. We should all just leave the mother alone and let her take care of her family the way that she sees fit.

This week on the newest episode of the Duggars 18 Kids and Counting, the entire Duggar clan including Cousin Amy went to the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. This is where the top forty Christian Independent films are screened by people and then the top films get awards at the end of the festival. Michelle had just given birth to baby Jordyn via c-section a week or two before. I have had a c-section and it hurts like crazy afterwards; you feel horrible for the first two months after you have the procedure done. The Duggars got to see a few films and viewed Kirk Cameron’s film called Fireproof; they seemed to really enjoy the film. They got to meet Kirk Cameron afterwards; he told them that he refused to kiss a woman at the end of Fireproof so he had his wife, actress Chelsea Noble stand in for the actress so he could kiss her. At the awards ceremony at the end of the festival, the Duggar family presented an award. I think that it was a very good episode; I love Kirk Cameron, I watched him for years on Growing Pains.
