Last night was the season finale of the Amazing Race. I have to say that the finale did not live up to my expectations. I thought that the tasks would be much harder than the ones that were chosen this season. The first task involved dragging a pig and preparing it to roast at a luau. The next task was to find surf boards that pertained to tasks that had been accomplished on this season of the Amazing Race. Margie and Luke got there first but in the end Luke could not get the last two correct and this cost them the win. In the end, siblings Tammy and Victor who are Harvard educated lawyers won the Amazing Race and got the one million dollar prize. I actually like this team; I was rooting for them along the way.

This week on the Amazing Race the teams had some problems to say the least. This leg of the race was in the country of Thailand. at the roadblock, one team member had to put a propeller on a Thai long tail boat and then they would get their next clue and would have to take a ride on the boat. Jen and Keisha left their pack with their travel documents back there and Michael and Mark left their belongings in a cab so they had to go back but Keisha and Jen did not. The detour involved broken teeth or broken record. In broken teeth the teams would have to get and fit five sets of dentures into peoples’ mouths. In Broken Record, the teams had to go to a specific street and choose a group of people and get into a party taxi and sing karaoke. Now, Margie and Luke finished in first place, Keisha and Jen were in third but had to go back and get their pack before checking in. Mark and Michael were last and incurred two two hours penalties but were not eliminated from the race. They got penalties for using their items from home to settle a bill. They will have the penalties next time and have to complete a speed bump.

This week on the Amazing Race, the six teams headed to Thailand. The teams all ended up taking the same flight. Mel and Mike got off to a bad start; the teams were supposed to use a photo of a statue of the gorilla and find the zoo. Sadly, their cab driver was wrong and took them to the beach instead of the zoo and they lost valuable time. The teams then traveled to a spice shop and had to find their next clue in one of ninety nine drawers. Jaime and Cara were very impatient during this part of the challenge. Mel and Mike were pretty easy going even though they were so far behind. The next detour involved either using a rickshaw and running for two miles or filling barrels on a boat. Mel and Mike and Kisha and Jen chose the barrels and the other teams chose the rickshaws. Mark and Michael decided to tamper with the tools and the bicycle pumps and use a taxi to guide them which made them incur two half hour penalties. In the end, Tammy and Victor got there first but were the first team to be allowed to check in so they got a free trip to Hawaii. Mark and Michael finished third. Margie passed out after checking in due to dehydration. I felt very bad for Luke because he looked so scared. Mel and Mike were sent home and I am truly sad to see them go.

Last night on the Amazing Race 14, the seven teams traveled to the country of India. The road block was to tend to a herd of camels and give them hay and water. Some of the teams were confused and did not use the basket to carry the hay and used a bucket instead.Mel was smart enough to use the basket even though he was in pain he did a good job. Luke cried when he saw how bad things are for children in India. Some of the children were eating garbage. It was very sad for him and I felt his pain. Jodi and Christy had to do a road bump because they got a reprieve last week and were not eliminated from the Amazing Race. The Detour was called movers and shakers. Movers involved using a rickshaw to move barrels of hay and then opening the barrels to find a small elephant. Mark and Michael chose that detour. The shakers detour was to dress in traditional costumes and dance and get one hundred rubies and then give the money to the band leader. Then, they had to go to a man with red telephones, call the number and reach the pit stop. The road bump was for Jodi and Christy to paint an elephant’s face. In the end, Jodi and Christy were eliminated from the Amazing Race.

Last night on the Amazing Race 14, the teams were racing in Russia. Everyone knew that Margie and Luke used the blind u turn on Amanda and Kris. The detours was Russian bride or snow plow. In Russian bride, the teams had to travel into a lada car which is very slow, go to an apartment and find a Russian bride and bring her to the church to meet her groom. Then, the couple would have their picture taken together and get their next clue. In snow plow, they had to travel in their cars to Stadium Spartak where each team had to drive a snow plow and keep their partner in the left lane. The roadblock was very interesting. One of the team members had to find a couple of marathon runners, strip down to their underwear and run 1.4 miles in the cold. During the race, we saw that Tammy and Victor are users. They said they were traveling with Margie and Luke and Jamie and Cara but stiffed them when they were getting directions. In the end, Margie and Luke were team number one. Christy and Jodi were the last team to arrive but got a break this leg of the race.

On last night’s new episode of the Amazing Race, the teams traveled to the country of Russia. The detours were very difficult for the teams to complete. The detours to choose from were stack it or construct. In the stack it detour, teams were told to stack a wall of wood near a wall of wood that was already built. The catch was if they knocked down the existing wall then they would need to rebuild both walls. In construct, the teams were told to construct shutters and find a home that had a sign that said repairs needed. The teams who did this detour were lost so they all worked together to find the house that needed repair. This leg of the race had a blind u- turn, many teams decided to use it but Margie and Luke decided to use it to help Jamie and Cara. They u turned Amanda and Kris. This blind u turn means that you do not have to put that you u turned the team so there is anonymity. After the detours the teams were instructed to go on a bobsled and read letters, then re assemble them to make the Russian word which was Chekhov. Luke had a lot of problems doing this. Then the teams traveled to the pit stop at a theater. Christie and Jodi finished first and were each given a motorcycle. Amanda and Kris were eliminated from the Amazing Race.

Last night on the Amazing Race, the teams traveled to Romania. Brad and Victoria took a flight that they thought would put them ahead but missed their connecting flight and could not make up enough time. The roadblock involved doing gymnastics. One team member had to do floor exercises, the balance beam, and uneven bars. Then the teams traveled to the detour; the detour involved either moving all of the belongings of gypsies and taking a cart and then unpacking the belongings again or vampire remains. Tammy and Victor chose vampire remains which involved taking a trail, finding a coffin, unlocking locks, and slamming wood planks on stakes to find a flag. Victor followed a red and white trail instead of the red and yellow trail and he and Tammy fell very behind. Then the clue lead them to the pit stop which was Vila Panoramic. In the end, Mel and Mike finished first and won a trip. Tammy and Victor finished second to last and Brad and Victoria finished last and were eliminated.

Last night on the Amazing Race, the teams traveled to Munich. The roadblock involved having one team member paraglide down the side of a mountain. However, the wind conditions were very bad so nine of the team members decided to walk down instead of paraglide down. Mel was the only one who ended up paragliding which was good for him because he has a groin problem. Linda got lost on the trail and ended up costing herself and Steve a lot of time. Then the teams traveled to the detour where they could throw pies at each other and look for a cherry pie or go on a Segway obstacle course. Mel and Mike did the segways as did a few other teams. Tammy and Victor, Margie and Luke, and Linda and Steve were a fewof the teams that chose to throw pies at each other. After they completed the task, the teams were to let Tyrolean woodcutters cut them a small piece of wood that would be stamped with their clue to the pit stop Schloss Hellbrunn. Tammy and Victor finished first and were given hybrid go karts. In the end, Steve and Linda Cole were eliminated from the Amazing Race. I felt bad for them because they did put in a great effort and they seem like such as nice couple.

I watched the Amazing Race Season Finale Sunday night at 8pm.The season finale was not very interesting to me. I had thought that the three teams would be closer and would really fight to the finish. Andrew and Dan were just a train wreck and could not compete with the other two teams during the season finale. I wanted Dallas and Toni to be in the season finale but Dallas losing the passports really cost them their chance at the million dollars on the second to last episode. The entire race came down to teams Nick and Starr who are siblings and Ken and Tina who are separated. The race took them from their current destination of Russia back to the United States. They had to travel to Oregon. they had to go on a long zip line, try and do a memory exercise, find a green dinosaur, find a Russian food cart, find a Voodoo Doughnut shop, and a couple more tasks. In the end, the siblings made their way to the final pit stop and won the one million dollar prize.Ten and Tina came in second and Dan and Andrew finished in third place.
