This week the Real World/ Road Rules Challenge: The Duel 2 premiered. This challenge is set in the country of New Zealand. Drama was the name of the game as the drama started with CT, Adam, and Diem. Now, CT and Diem are not together I guess Diem wanted to split with CT after his display the last time he was on a challenge. She wants to focus on her career and get married when she is thirty years old. However, Shauvon and CT were on the roof doing something which most of the cast mates thought was them having sex and felt bad for Diem. The cast mates were whispering about it and Adam was talking to CT when suddenly the two got into a knock down fight. It was very bad and bloody. Both CT and Adam were sent home because of their fight.During the after show, Shauvon said that she did not have sex with CT, they only made out but she had partied and done appearances with him before. CT said he was angry coming into the challenge because his brother had been shot and killed during a fight. Diem and CT are done according to each other.MJ and Nehemiah arrived to replace Adam and CT on the challenge. The challenge was sort of a rugby challenge. Robin was the winner for the girls and Evan was the winner for the guys. Robin picked MJ first and in the end Ryan was picked last as was Shauvon. Ryan went into the duel against Nick who had a hurt hand and beat him so Nick got sent home. Next week, we will see the Aneesa/Shauvon duel. This week on the Real World:Brooklyn Ryan struggled with the fact that he will be re-deployed for a year. War is a very real thing and it was heartbreaking to watch Ryan be so upset especially about telling his girlfriend Belle that he will be gone for a year. The roommates decided to go to Atlantic City and stay at the Borgata Hotel and Casino. Devyn had got a little dog named Brooklyn so she bought a three hundred dollar doggie carrier and then spent the night in her room. Katelynn won six hundred bucks and then ended up losing all of her money. This really ticked off Chet because Katelynn had borrowed money from Scott and had no repaid him so it was not a good idea to gamble with his money. Ryan seemed very morose while on their trip.I think going to war weighs heavily on his mind because he no longer supports the war and is very afraid that he will never come back from Iraq. Next week, the last episode of the season airs. I hope that the ending is good.

This week on the Real World Brooklyn, the topic was the war and it was election day. Chet and Scott were the only ones who voted for John McCain. Chet said that he wished Mitt Romney was president. Chet also had a life sized cut out of himself made at Fairway. The roommates attended an Election Day party at Subway. Ryan wore an Uncle Sam outfit and was elated that Barack Obama was elected president while Chet and Scott pouted and felt out of place. The room mates deiced to prank Chet and Scott; they put Obama’s face onto Chet’s cutout and Ryan painted Scott’s fingernails while he slept. Chet was not too happy and said his cut out was art although all he did was pose for a picture. Ryan walked in a Veteran’s Day parade; he also took the roommates to a banquet for veterans. Katelynn got to dress up for the banquet and she loved it. Ryan got recalled to service and will be heading to Fort Jackson in February. He was heartbroken. I feel very bad for Ryan hopefully he is okay since it is March and he would have been re-deployed right now.

Last night on the Real World : Brooklyn, the roommates got to attend a special screening of the movie Pedro. Pedro was on the Real World and was a gay man who had AIDS. He was an advocate for the cause and sadly he died after the series aired its final episode. An MTV executive asked the eight roommates to put together a screening of the movie for the public, find a venue, and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention. There needed to be two hosts; Chet wanted to be a host but six of the eight roommates said he was not qualified for the job because he has never had sex before. JD wanted to have the event at the LBGT community center but the roommates said no because they wanted to have the event at the New York Film Academy.I don’t know why you would want to pay to have the party instead of get the venue for free. Katelynn and JD were the hosts; the movie screening went okay. Scott was ticked off that instead of attending his birthday Katelynn chose to go go dance. Katelynn is broke and needed money. This caused Scott to start his juvenile antics about cleaning again. Scott must really like Katelynn. Katelynn was going to go home because she is broke but Scott offered to help her out. It was a good episode of the show; what did you all think?

This week on the Real World Brooklyn, Chet was discussing Katelynn’s transgender surgery. He was asking her where her medical stints are so that he could use them to play a prank. Devyn got a job with a pageant dress design firm and even got Sarah a job modeling dresses. Sarah did not enjoy the work or the fact that she had to cover up her tattoos. Baya took more dance classes. Ryan was disappointed that Baya declined her invitation to the dance conservatory because the instructors are very hard on the students. Chet had another interview to do. He really seems to enjoy talking to musicians and celebrities. Katelynn focused on putting together resources and a database for transgendered youth. She worked very hard and they had a huge event to focus on the website’s debut. I really respect Katelynn for doingall of this work for the transgendered community. She is really a role model to many people. I thought that the episode was okay.

Last night on the Real World Brooklyn, the roommates were at each other’s throats again. The boys were mad because the girls are messy and do not take out the trash, do dishes, or take their hair out of the sink. JD finally cleaned the house and then decided to make a chore list which the girls thought was stupid since they are adults. Ryan decided to go to film school and made a few short films for his class. Katelynn did not pick up her coffee cup and Scott decided to steal the car keys and punish the girls but Sarah who did nothing was late to her art class so she decided to do the dishes instead and got the car keys back. JD decided to have a house meeting which none of the girls wanted to attend. JD got very angry and smashed the glass coffee table. He also ripped the phone out of the wall when Devyn was using it. JD really has some anger issues that he needs help for. I really think that since he was abused that he could become a very violent man. In the end, the girls did help clean up and the fight was over.

This week’s episode mainly focused on Ryan as the anniversary on September 11, 2001 occurred.One of his soldier friends committed suicide, Ryan said some of his army comrades have done the same thing so it was not surprising to him.JD decided to pull a prank on Ryan and Chet when they were sleeping. He squirted shaving cream from up high and ticked off Ryan. Devyn was all up in Scott’s face about the fact that he was bringing home a different girl to the house every night.Chet got to interview Pete Wentz, he had a ridiculous outfit, black thick glasses, and bow tie on. Ryan said that he looked like Orville Redenbacher. Chet;s interview with Pete Wentz went pretty well. Ryan called up a fellow Army friend and they went down to the 9/11 memorial tribute. I think that this episode was very emotional for Ryan. We got to see a different side of him. I think that we will see even more of this issue discussed as the season continues.

Last week on the Real World: Brooklyn Sarah dealt with her father. She had not talked to her father in years and somehow he got the telephone number to the house. Sarah was clearly distraught by this. She called her mother crying because of how her father had treated her. Sarah had a hard time dealing with the abuse that she suffered but she dealt with it in a positive way by going out and helping children. Katelynn and Sarah went shopping together. JD’s drunken antics really aggravated the roommates. Chet went on a date with Scott’s model friend Alex. Chet does not think that the relationship with Alex will ever be serious because she is not a Mormon. Ryan does not understand why Chet is even dating girls in New York if he is not going to get into a serious relationship with anyone because they are not Mormons. I think that the episode was okay. I felt bad for Sarah. I cannot believe how her father treated her, he even called her a liar which to me is despicable.

I recorded the Real World: Brooklyn on my dvr. I finally got a chance to watch it. Now, Sarah now knows that Katelynn is a transgendered person. She seemed to be pretty understanding about it. She is a counselor who deals with sexual abuse, so by nature she is pretty understanding and listens to what people have to say. Now, Chet freaked me out with his fascination about JD’s extra large condoms. I mean Chet is a virgin and he seems to think he is better than everyone else because of it. Chet then stole one of JD’s condoms and put it on a banana and put it into the fish tank in the house. JD was really ticked off and quite honestly so would I if I was him. Baya went to a hip hop conservatory studio. Baya is a decent dancer but she did have problems during the tryout. She seems motivated and dedicated but there are many dancers in New York and many of them do not end up being successful because there are so few opportunities. The episode was okay. My least favorite cast member is Chet.

Okay I had recorded the Real World/ Road Rules  Challenge the Island Reunion Show and I was finally able to watch it on my dvr last night. I can honestly say the challenges need new cast members and new challenges. I mean Kelly Anne was acting all crazy and trying to be like a gangster. Please let her never do any more challenges, the girl is a couple french fries short of a happy meal if you know what I mean. Paula was crying because of Johnny and Kenny stabbing her in the back by not putting her on their boat in the final challenge. Rumor is that Kelly Anne is seeing Johanna’s ex fiancee Wes Bergmann. I don’t know if it is true but it is a little weird considering that these two ladies look a little bit alike. Evelyn talked about why she took Dunbar’s key. Everyone agreed that by Abram giving Dunbar his key, he should have gone in and proved that he desreved it and actually earn his key and place in the boat in the final challenge. I wasn;t very amused by this hour long reunion show. I think that there needs to be new casting done so some new faces can be on the show. I am tired of Johnny and Kenny they annoy me and I am sure Derrick is done with the challenges now that he is having a baby with his wife.
