Kitchen Nightmare Sabatiello’s 11/13

Last night, I watched one of the two new episodes of Kitchen Nightmares. The restaurant was in Stamford, Connecticut. It was called Sabatiello’s.It was an Italian Grille run by a man named Sammy. The place had decent decor and had been popular before but it was suffering due to poor food and Sammy’s bad attitude with staff and his customers. The kitchen was spotless but the chef and his brigade was putting raw chicken with already cooked chicken and serving frozen items from days before to customers. His chef Jose didn’t really listen to him and did whatever he wanted. Gordon watched as Sammy confronted a customer. The woman had not had her lamb cooked properly, she asked to have it cooked more. The chef heated it up in the microwave per Sammy’s request. The waiter brought it out and the plate was warm, the lady said it was microwaved and she wanted it sent back. Sammy lied to her and said that it was not microwaved when it was and caused quite a huge scene in front of the customers. Many of the customers were shocked at what Sammy had done.I mean he lied about the food and he made the woman seem like she was being unreasonable when she was not. Gordon decided to change the menu and bring in fresh quality products. In the end the chef had some problems but Sammy went to work in the kitchen and they finished strong.

Kitchen Nightmare’s- Hannah and Mason’s

I watched the episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The episode was about Hannah and Mason’s which is located in a small farm town in Cranbury, New Jersey. The two owners were as different as night and day. Brian was not very passionate about owning and running a restaurant. The restaurant was supposed to be a French bistro but it missed the mark. Food kept being sent back because it did not taste good. Chris was passionate but if you do not have everyone backing you up then you will fail. Gordon changed the menu to a more rustic menu with local produce that the farmers in the town of Cranbury grow and produce. I am surprised by how often Gordon Ramsay finds a problem with these restaurant’s fridges and freezers. I have seen Kitchen Nightmares on the BBC channel and only once in a while is there a problem with the kitchen and fridge not being clean. I think that people get lazy and that can be harmful especially when you are serving food that you should not be because it is spoiled. It makes me never want to eat out again that is for sure.

Kitchen Nightmares this week’s episodes

Okay, so I watched two episodes of Kitchen Nightmare this week. The first restaurant was one situated on the five great lakes named Jack’s restaurant.  It was run by a group of men who met each other at their local gym and decided to buy a restaurant together. AJ, one of the owner’s father was the general manager. He was not a good manager, he was constantly drinking and hitting on the female patrons. As always, when Gordon Ramsay goes to a fridge or freezer no good comes from it. AJ is supposed to be in charge of getting good food and keeping the standards high but he did not do that at all. The chef Aaron had a brigade that was awful, he was getting no help at all from these guys. I felt bad for him, he was not getting fresh products and was not respected by his co-workers.Usually the chef writes the menu, but here the owenrs did it which is always a bad idea. Gordon told them that they need to use fresh fish which is easy because they are situated on the great lakes and use quality local produce. What did you think of this week’s episode?

Hell’s Kitchen:Season 2 Marathon on Fox Reality Channel

Last night, I watched some of the episodes of season two of Hell’s Kitchen. I hadn’t seen this series until last season so all of these episodes were new to me. I love chef Gordon Ramsay, I even watch his Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on BBC and on Fox . He is just such an intriguing man. I cannot stop watching his shows for some reason. This guy is so over the top with drama but he is such a talented and intelligent person. I have to say from the couple of episodes that I viewed of season two, I can honestly say that the chefs were not very talented. I mean Gordon Ramsay was mad because they could not get through a dinner service. I mean to hand it to him, if I had all these chefs with long resumes I would be mad too if they forgot to turn an oven on or fried cabbage. I mean this is supposed to be the creme of the crop and they make so many mistakes it is hard to believe that they will run a huge restaurant in Las Vegas. I really see Gordon Ramsay’s passion for cooking but these chefs just did not scream passion and talent to me at all. I really think that Gordon Ramsay has a huge heart and wants to make these chefs better so that they can be very successful in the future. What do you all think of world famous chef Gordon Ramsay?

Last Night’s Kitchen Nightmares- J Willy’s

Last night, I watched Kitchen Nightmares this week chef Gordon Ramsay traveled to South Bend, Indiana to a bar and grille named J Willy’s. The bar and grille is owned by John William, and Rick and Tricia who are married to each other. Rick and Tricia live three and a half hours away from J Willy’s and own another restaurant near where they live as well. Rick and Tricia were 1.2 million dollars in debt. Tricia was upset that because of the debt and the responsibilities that go with owning and running two restaurants that she does no have time or enough money to have a baby with her husband Rick. The main problem with J Willy’s was the food. John, who is the manager/ owner had been cutting corners and buying everything frozen or pre-made. People kept sending their food back because it looked and tasted awful. Gordon was appalled at the low food standards at J Willy’s. This restaurant should have been run better by John. I mean he just did not care about quality or freshness. Eventually, Gordon taught them how to make their own homemade barbecue sauce and fresh hamburgers which went over well. Eventually, J Willy’s tried harder to use the knowledge that Gordon Ramsay gave them. Hopefully, they are still open and operating their eating establishment.

Kitchen Nightmares- Trobiano’s 9/25/08

I watched Kitchen Nightmares last night the first hour episode was about Trobiano’s an Italian restaurant in NY. The restaurant is owned by Anthony a twenty five year old chef and his girlfriend’s parents. This was a recipe for trouble because Anthony’s girlfriend and her parents all worked at the restaurant and it was causing a huge strain on their restaurant. The restaurant was $500,000 in debt. The kitchen was dirty and even had mouse droppings bear the meat cutting station. The menu needed to be revamped and the décor was very drab. The restaurant had started an early bird special to help keep the place afloat but the portions were too big so Gordon Ramsay canned the early bird dinner specials entirely. Gordon also made Anthony help him clean the restaurant and even took the owners to a farm to milk cows and learn how to make fresh mozzarella.

The evening of the re-launch which showed off the restaurant’s new décor and menu had some bumps along the way. The biggest success of the evening was when they impressed a food critic and her guests. In the end, Gordon Ramsay gave Anthony an engagement ring to give to his girlfriend and he proposed. This episode was a very good episode. It had drama and romance at the same time.
