I watched Kate: Her Story on TLC. I watched it objectively and I have to say the story was a little watered down. I mean Kate cried a lot but she still was adamant about keeping her kids on tv. She said at this point she cannot step out of the limelight. We have seen celebrities come and go over the years just by them being out of the limelight for a while. As for her saying she cannot support a family of 8 on being a nurse, she has 230k in the bank and has money from a book deal. Other families such as the Bates, Duggars, Hayes have more than 8 kids and make it on 1 sole income. I myself cannot tell people what to do but to me this kind of was TLC’s way of trying to persuade the courts to side with Kate to get the show back on. I sympathize with her about her divorce and I hope her kids can do well in the future.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 has stopped filming indefinitely and it looks as though TLC will continue with their lawsuit against Jon Gosselin. I have to say seeing Jon act so childish is weird, in all episodes he seems fun and responsible. How does a dad lose who he was so fast? I am not condoning reality tv, I am glad the kids will be out of the spotlight even though Kate has filmed a pilot for a show and Jon is always making headlines with his girlfriends. It is sad how reality tv destroys marriages, but hopefully the kids will be ok.

Previously, I had defended Jon Gosselin before all of his behavior became splashed on every tabloid and magazine on my local supermarket’s shelves. I have to say that saying in a live tv interview that you despise your ex-wife is pretty low. Most men when they are going through a divorce keep a low profile because everything that they do can ome up in their divorce proceedings. Jon is constantly being photographed with women and this cannot be good for his divorce case. I even read that his lawyer dropped him. I have to say Kate has taken the high road and is rocking a new stylish hair cut. I am proud of her for keeping her true feelings to herself where her kids cannot read about it at the store or online.

Wow, I was never surprised that the Gosselins were going to get divorced. Many of us saw it coming a mile away when we watched Jon and Kate Plus 8. I mean Jon seemed like he could not take any more love “taps” and being yelled at all the time. Jon has completely changed since we first met him on the first TLC special. He now parties and spends tons of money and even has a 24 year old girlfriend. This is the classic example of why reality tv can completely change your life in a quick minute.

TLC the network that produces Jon and Kate Plus 8 has said that the show will not have any new episodes until August 3, 2009 so that the family can regroup and refocus. I think a month is not really long enough to regroup after all of the media scandal. Kate filed the divorce papers and said that the weekend’s activities forced her to do it. I think Jon spent time with his kids and went apartment shopping in NYC which is not all that bad considering that they were separated at the time anyway. I feel bad for Jon, he kind of gets a bad rap in the media. I hope that he can find what he is looking for in life and get back to what he was before the fame.

Today, I was watching the news and there was a report saying that Jon and Kate Goseelin have filed their divorce papers. I think this will finally end all of the paparazzi at their PA home. I think Jon really wanted some closure and he is looking to recapture his old self. I guess they are both going to film the show separately still. I hope that the family can work through this nicely. Many times there are hurt feelings in divorce and I think that the eight kids need both of their parents equally.

The Teutls from American Chopper recently visited the Gosselins to customize a chopper bike for Jon Gosselin. Mikey visited with the sextuplets and got to play with them. I really enjoy Mikey, he is such a care free guy. You can tell that he understands family dysfunction. The Teutuls wanted to get to know Jon so that they could make him a bike that fits his personality. Kate also got a pink scooter.  I liked the motorcycle that Jon got, it fit his personality and had many special touches.You could also see the tension between Jon and Kate, it is hard to avoid seeing that.

This week on Jon and Kate Plus 8, Kate celebrated her birthday without Jon and went to visit Duff Goldman with her kids and made cakes. I have to say I am a little suspicious about what is going on here. It is like TLC is purposely trying to play up the whole Jon and Kate spend no time together so that people feel bad for Kate. I think Jon is a great dad and you can tell that the media is trying to make him out to be the bad guy. I personally think that it must be hard to be tabloid talk and that Jon deserves a break. I thought it was cute that he put up the swing set again and took his kids on a walk even though Alexis did get injured. I hope that there is some resolve soon but I doubt it because they do get money to make these episodes.

Last night, I watched the season 5 premiere of Jon and Kate Plus 8.I have to say I felt bad for Jon more than I did for Kate. I mean Jon sad that he quit working two years ago to stay home with his kids and he felt bad because he was not working like he used to. He also just wants his normal life back. Kate said that the cameras and fame are not going to stop. Sadly, I think that if Jon wants to be off camera then his marriage to Kate will end because she loves the limelight. I really did not enjoy her bashing Jon for not helping with the party prep, I mean it is like he is only of use to her when he does her errands or chores. The coldness between the two was quite clear especially at the birthday party. I felt bad when Alexis was talking to Jon about the little boy she brought and then said that she wants her daddy to come home. Jon told her that some daddy’s don’t come home because they have to work. He gave her a big hug and a kiss and you can tell that he really does miss his kids.I think maybe he only lives there when Kate is away, but I am not sure. All in all, I thought that this episode showed how fame can screw up your lives, not multiples. I mean yes there is stress but most people would respect their husband’s wishes if he said I want the cameras off and my life back, but that is just me.

Today, Kate Gosselin was on television was on tv and was talking about the rumors that Jon has been seeing a woman behind her back. I think that Jon should be on tv facing down these rumors not Kate. I mean he released a statement but Kate is not the one who was caught doing these things and should not have to be on tv defending him. I actually feel bad for Kate. I know she can come across as controlling and mean spirited towards Jon but no wife should have to see infidelity rumors plastered all voer the media. I saw how it has effected John Edwards’ wife Elizabeth and I can say that Kate deserves better treatment.
