As we all know Top Chef season five has ended. I am sad to see the end. The three finalists were Carla, Hosea, and Stefan.My favorite chef this season was Carla Hall. She is such a nice person and did not have to be dramatic to get screentime. The finale was held in New Orleans. The three chefs were told to make a three course meal and that would decide who the winner was. They each got help. Carla had Casey. Stefan had Marcel and Hosea had Richard. Carla should not have taken Casey’s advice. The chefs were thrown a curve ball when they were given an additional course to prepare. In the end, Hosea won. Stefan and Carla are better chefs in my opinion. I was not happy with the end result. How did you all feel about it?“

The second season of History’s Ax Men will premiere on Monday March 2, 2009 at 10 pm. Two of the crews; Stump Branch Logging and Gustafson will not be returning this season. The Pihl and J.M Browning crews will return though. There are three new crews- a father/ son crew, an aqua logging crew, and a heli-logging crew. The five crews got together and talked during the show Road to Season 2. They discussed how many loads of logs they get out a day and accidents that have happened to them while they were on the job.In the new season of Ax Men it looks like the Pihl crew will not be getting along very well. The large storm that struck Oregon produced many jobs for the crews because thousands of acres of timber were blown down. The wood will all rot so they need to harvest it as soon as possible to make money. Logging is very hard on the body and right now most people are not building houses because of the economy so the price of wood has gone down. Hopefully, the economy can recover so that the five crews can survive financially.

This week on the newest episode of Celebrity Rehab Sober House, Mary was confused about what to do about her relationship with her boyfriend/ manager David. After being at the Pasadena Recovery Center, Seth Binzer returned back to the sober house. Jen took the residents to play paintball. Seth shot Jen before the game started and she was very mad about it. Seth gave Jen crack after they got home. Jen used to do the drug and it was hard for her to deal with it. She saw a doctor about it and they discussed how hard it has been for her to stay clean and run the sober house. Nikki was going to record the song that she wrote but could not lay down her vocals because her best friend passed away. Nikki struggled with whether or not to go to the funeral because she would be leaving her support system. Mary was nervous about attending Swingfest because it would make her confront her demons and possibly drink. I felt very bad for Nikki and Mary both have had hard lives and they are struggling with serious addictions. Mary wants to stop doing porn and stripping to pursue her love of ballet. However, she cannot maintain her lifestyle doing ballet and that is why she is conflicted. I hope that Mary can get some resolve in her life and can pursue her love of ballet. It was a decent episode.

Last night on the Real World Brooklyn, the roommates were at each other’s throats again. The boys were mad because the girls are messy and do not take out the trash, do dishes, or take their hair out of the sink. JD finally cleaned the house and then decided to make a chore list which the girls thought was stupid since they are adults. Ryan decided to go to film school and made a few short films for his class. Katelynn did not pick up her coffee cup and Scott decided to steal the car keys and punish the girls but Sarah who did nothing was late to her art class so she decided to do the dishes instead and got the car keys back. JD decided to have a house meeting which none of the girls wanted to attend. JD got very angry and smashed the glass coffee table. He also ripped the phone out of the wall when Devyn was using it. JD really has some anger issues that he needs help for. I really think that since he was abused that he could become a very violent man. In the end, the girls did help clean up and the fight was over.

 Last night, the Real Housewives of Orange County had their reunion show. The tension was in the air. Tamra was incredibly catty and disrespectful which was not shocking to me at all.I used to really like Tamra but her behavior during this season of the show was by far the worst behavior that I have seen. Vicki too is a hater and was mean to both Gretchen and Lynne all season long. Lynne really seemed hurt by the comments that had been made about her being ditzy and dim. Vicki said that she loves Donn because he loves her but he needs to be more loving and attentive towards her.Why would he be more loving and attentive when Vicki is constantly traveling without him and making plans without his input? Tamra outed Gretchen’s ex boyfriend calling her and made a huge deal about it but downplayed her trying to get Gretchen naked wasted. I never heard Tamra or Vicki offer their condolences to Gretchen on her loss; they love to call her a gold digger and even alleged that Jeff paid Gretchen to take care of him. Lauri also appeared and talked about Josh and his struggle with addiction. I hope that next season Bravo gets Vicki and Tamra off the show because they are turning many people off.

On this week’s new episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8, the Gosselins got not one but two puppies. They chose purebred German Shepherd puppies to be their dogs. They decided to get a boy and a girl puppy. They named the dogs Chocka and Nahla. The puppies were an early Christmas gift for the kids. They took the kids to visit the puppies because the owner said that the puppies would need to meet the kids first because sometimes puppies will not mesh well with kids. The owner also told Kate when she was driving to see the puppies that they should take the puppies home that day because it made more sense. Kate was taking notes about supplies, schedules, feedings, necessities etc. The kids seemed like they had a fun time visiting Jeff’s house and picking out the puppies. They got to play on a trampoline and have fun. Mady and Cara seemed very enthused to finally have dogs. The puppies had many accidents in the house when they came home; I have always had dogs and as puppies they always have accidents. I think it was a very cute episode.

Last night on the Amazing Race, the teams traveled to Munich. The roadblock involved having one team member paraglide down the side of a mountain. However, the wind conditions were very bad so nine of the team members decided to walk down instead of paraglide down. Mel was the only one who ended up paragliding which was good for him because he has a groin problem. Linda got lost on the trail and ended up costing herself and Steve a lot of time. Then the teams traveled to the detour where they could throw pies at each other and look for a cherry pie or go on a Segway obstacle course. Mel and Mike did the segways as did a few other teams. Tammy and Victor, Margie and Luke, and Linda and Steve were a fewof the teams that chose to throw pies at each other. After they completed the task, the teams were to let Tyrolean woodcutters cut them a small piece of wood that would be stamped with their clue to the pit stop Schloss Hellbrunn.  Tammy and Victor finished first and were given hybrid go karts. In the end, Steve and Linda Cole were eliminated from the Amazing Race. I felt bad for them because they did put in a great effort and they seem like such as nice couple.

This week on Hell’s Kitchen, steak was the word. Robert was sad because it was his wedding day but he gave it up to be a contestant on the show. He said it is for his and his fiance’s future. The challenge was to properly assign name tags to eight cuts of meat, then put where the cuts go on a plastic cow. Both sides did horribly, but in the end the men’s team won and got to go on a private plane to a steakhouse dinner with Chef Ramsay. The ladies had to butcher meat and were treated to the least popular parts of the cow- tongue, liver, lips etc for lunch. Some of the women began puking; Andrea took the loss the hardest. At dinner service, the teams were each getting two hours to serve and then members of both teams would be waiters and waitresses. Giovanni was horrible at the meat station even though he was a chef at a steakhouse. Seth butchered a fillet way too much and ticked off Chef Ramsay. Charlie and Lacey were horrible at the front of the house. In the end, the ladies won the challenge by serving the most entrees.The men nominated Seth and Charlie and in a surprising move Charlie went home instead of Seth. This week on Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti had her first client that was a millionairess. The woman is forty one yeas old, has a sixteen month old daughter named Caroline and owns a clothing company. She wanted Patti’s help because she wants to have more kids and have a family and men in Los Angeles do not want to date women who are over the age of thirty five. At the same time, Patti also had a client named Bill who is forty five years old and owns a few hotels. He is a typical guy and wants a much younger woman. He actually met Heidi at the mixer. She did not divulge her age though. One thing that stuck out to me was that at the mixer, Sarah Symonds was one of the potential dates for Bill. Sarah Symonds wrote a book about being a mistress and said that she had a long term affair with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay who has four children with his wife Tana. Does Patti even screen these women? I would never set him up with her but moving on. Bill took Heidi to Canada to visit Kingfisher which is a resort and spa that he owns. They looked like they had fun and even kissed. Bill was trying to find out her age but he never did. I think that Bill and Heidi make a good pair, hopefully they will be able to maintain a strong long distance relationship.

Last night on Celebrity Rehab Sober House, the drama center around Seth Binzer. He disappeared and went on a drug run. He sent the residents of the house video clips via his Myspace page. The group was frantic to find him including Seth’s friends Tyrell and Black. The group decided to go visit Jessica Jaymes who is an adult film star to look for Seth. Seth had been there and had taken Xanax, ecstasy, heroin, and other drugs. Jessica was very high and someone had hit her. Mary reached out to Jessica and asked her if she wanted to go to rehab but she said no. Dr. Drew took Rodney King back to the site of his beating. He took flowers and a Bible and read a note to forgive the police officers who had beat him. Dr. Drew also met with the group and told them not to search for Seth and to focus on their own recoveries. Mary said she loved searching for Seth because she loves drama. In the end, Will went to a hotel room and got Seth and took him to Las Encinas for treatment.
