I think Jen is just a doll so cute and a Doc at that. On the other hand Bill is a jerk, he treats her like a little kid. She is funny and he is so serious, she could have done so much better. k

Great show. Jen is so sweet. Bill is the absolute jerk I remember he is. I know him, my wife worked for him a couple months and he never paid her. Not a penny. I wonder if now being on tv we’ll get that paycheck? My wife watched the first show and said it was perfect, showed him for the amazing idiot that he is in real life. Now pay my wife Bill!

Jen went to school in Orlando, then University of Miami. Med School was John Hopkins, and her residency and fellowship for neonatology was Pittsburgh. She really is a terrific young lady & doctor and has met her match in Bill. Jen does in fact know & admire Dr. Ain but her role model was Dr. Kopits a Johns Hopkins Orthopedic surgeon who performed many life changing (for the better) surgeries on Jen as she was growing up as he devoted his career and life to little people in general. We hope that the two of them continue to cherish each other, and their work, and bring more of their enjoyment of life to those of us who get to watch them through TLC. Love, Dad.

Where did Jen go to medical school? I saw a documentary featuring Dr. Michael Ain, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Johns Hopkins (and my personal hero) who despite his stellar academic record and research experience had many difficulties getting accepted into medical school. He went to Albany and did his residency there. I’m hoping that the climate has changed–I imagine he opened up many peoples eyes. Did Jen face the same struggles?

I am watching it just now (last night too much TV)
10 minutes in, I am really liking it, especially that Jen is a doctor and Bill is very successful too.
They seem very down to earth (no pun intended) and, so far, happy.
So much better than Jon & Kate or the other “special” people. I feel as if I could actually relate to these people.

I was a good friend of Jen’s in high school. I hate that we’ve lost touch but I’m so excited things are going well for her. She has always been full of life - our freshman year she was a cheerleader and no matter how many surgeries she was out for she kept straight A’s.

I did not see the show, but also knew Jen as a resident and fellow in Pittsburgh. She is truly an amazing woman and a great doctor. I just found out about the show after seeing Oprah was featuring them. I hope TLC airs it again and features them in future shows.
