The latest Duggars 17 Kids and Counting episode on October 20, 2008 was about how thrifty the Duggars are. The family was also visited and filmed by a Korean film crew. We saw the twenty acre lot where the family rents out commercial space to different companies. We learned that a cell phone company placed a cell phone tower on a piece of property that the Duggars own. We saw Michelle take some of her sons shoes shopping at the local thrift store. We saw the family spend nearly two thousand dollars when they went grocery shopping at Aldi’s. One cringe moment was when thegirls were giving each other at home perms and said they have long hair because their daddy likes them to wear their hair that way. I have to say that they are very thrifty. They make their own laundry detergent, do at home haircuts and perms, buy used clothes, shoes, and supplies, and have now even decided to garden and grow their own food.
