Last night, I watched Kitchen Nightmares this week chef Gordon Ramsay traveled to South Bend, Indiana to a bar and grille named J Willy’s. The bar and grille is owned by John William, and Rick and Tricia who are married to each other. Rick and Tricia live three and a half hours away from J Willy’s and own another restaurant near where they live as well. Rick and Tricia were 1.2 million dollars in debt. Tricia was upset that because of the debt and the responsibilities that go with owning and running two restaurants that she does no have time or enough money to have a baby with her husband Rick. The main problem with J Willy’s was the food. John, who is the manager/ owner had been cutting corners and buying everything frozen or pre-made. People kept sending their food back because it looked and tasted awful. Gordon was appalled at the low food standards at J Willy’s. This restaurant should have been run better by John. I mean he just did not care about quality or freshness. Eventually, Gordon taught them how to make their own homemade barbecue sauce and fresh hamburgers which went over well. Eventually, J Willy’s tried harder to use the knowledge that Gordon Ramsay gave them. Hopefully, they are still open and operating their eating establishment.

Last night was the season finale of the Real World/ Road Rules Challenge the Island. This challenge has not been that good. I prefer the challenges to bring in some fresher faces. I am glad that Derrick finally won one. He will probably retire from these challenges now that he is married and his wife is expecting their first child soon. The last person to win a key was Evelyn. I really thought and hoped that she would go after Johnny Bananas’s key but she opted to take Dunbar’s key instead. Kenny stabbed Paula in the back by giving Evelyn her place in the boat so ultimately because of Kenny, Paula went home without winning any money at all. The winning team was Kenny, Evelyn, Johnny, and Derrick. The losing team was Ryan, Jenn, Robin and Paula. The team with three guys and Evelyn was destined to win because they have more strength and endurance. I think that they should have made the teams fairer and had two girls and two boys in each boat. In these challenges one team always has a huge advantage over the other and that to me is very unfair. I hope that the regular Real World series starts soon. I miss the show a lot. What did you think of the season finale of the Real World/ Road Rules The Island Challenge?

Last night, I watched the Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo. This episode was drama filled but it is also becoming annoying in the Nene/Sheree Kim department. Kim is such a poser and thinks that she is such hot stuff. Kim is not married to Big Poppa and don’t you find it kind of ironic that she has been seeing him for a while and yet he refuses to be seen with her in public? Now, Kim has turned on NeNe for no good reason and has become Sheree’s new best friend forever. What Kim doesn’t understand is that Sheree only want to be her friend to make NeNe jealous. I felt bad for DeShawn she ended up losing twenty thousand dollars or more at her Diamond Gala. Kim and Sheree were horrible and being catty about DeShawn trying to raise a million dollars in one night. I mean Kim doesn’t care about charity even though the only reason she is living the high life is because of her boyfriend’s charity towards her. I do like Lisa, she and her husband have a great relationship. I mean how many men would make jewelery with his family. I am glad that Lisa got offered a deal from Mr. Zale, she works hard and deserves it. The funniest part of the night involved NeNe, her celebrity stylist friend, and Brice trying to find Brice a suit. NeNe is such a great mother. I couldn’t pay over $6,600 on a custom suit for my son. Next week it looks like NeNe is the outcast with all the ladies. Who wants NeNe to have her own show? She is all I watch for.

Last night’s Duggars 17 Kids and Counting the Duggars decided to swap chores or jurisdictions. That meant that the female members of the Duggars- Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger,Joy, and Johanna had to learn how to check the oil, change the oil, and fix a flat tire. The boys had to learn how to cook lunch for the family. Michelle decided to have the boys cook tater tot casserole for lunch. The boys tried but they made messes everywhere. In the end, the tater tot casserole was a little runny and dry on top but at least the boys tried to help out in the kitchen. The girls did well with their mechanics lesson. They were able to change a tire in twenty eight minutes. That is pretty good considering I am a woman and I have never changed a tire in my entire life. The boys also learned about how to do laundry. Jim Bob, Josh, and John David and the littler boys also learned about how to clean bathrooms. I really think this was TLC’s idea and not Michelle’s or Jim Bob’s idea. I am glad that the boys can now appreciate how much cooking and cleaning that their sisters do on a daily basis. What did you think of this episode?

Last night, I caught an episode of the Amazing race. It wasn’t that interesting at all. Sarah and Terence were picked up for speeding, they also had a problem with their boat. In the end, Aja and Ty were eliminated. I am very bored with this show. I mean it should be exciting, it is a race around the world after all. It just has become the same thing each season. I would really like to see Toni and Dallas win. Toni seems like such a nice mother. I just think they need to cast different people next time around. I mean we need some real personality from these contestants and truthfully, I don’t see a lot of personality out of any of these contestants. I think they need to have it be that they pick the contestants and then you have to race with people that you don’t know. It could also be like on Dr. Phil when he has the Dr.Phil House and brings together different people who discriminate against people. So, for instance if you discriminate against short people then a short person is your team mate on the race, What do you guys think about changing the Amazing Race so that you don’t have to have known the person for a while?

Top Chef returns in November. This season will take place in New York. I am very excited that Top Chef is coming back because most reality shows on Bravo besides The Real Housewives of Atlanta are either wrapped for the season or are very boring. I love Top Chef even though I am not the fine dining kind of girl. I prefer Friendly’s, Burger King, or Domino’s. I cannot really understand why people will pay so much money for food. I mean sometimes I have gone out for Chinese food and the bill was more expensive than a week’s worth of my groceries. I really love competitive reality television shows. Top Chef is like Iron Chef America but with a lot more drama and many chefs. I loved Richard Blais from last season, that guy is such as stand up guy and overall is an incredibly talented chef. I hope this season has really good cast members. I hate when I am bored. I want drama but not too much drama. I think that this season Top Chef needs to amaze me because Iam going through good reality television show withdrawal.

Okay, as we all know Jon and Kate plus eight has been a topic of controversy lately. I have seen that a former child actor is trying to get it so that the Gosselin’s have to pull the plug on their reality television show. There have been blog postings online from Julie, Aunt Jodi’s sister’s blog stating that the fall outs between Jodi, Kevin and Jon and Kate were due to money. I guess TLC offered Jodi and Kevin compensation and a contract for being on the show but Jon and Kate didn’t want that. Jodi even offered to watch the kids for free without a contract but Kate decided to let her helper Jenny get the contract instead. Kate has burned some bridges that is for sure. I mean Jon and Kate really let fame get to their head. All of their show has basically become a travel show going from destination to destination and an infomercial showing off free items that they have received. I don’t understand how Jon cannot feel bad about not providing for his family. They both say doing their show is work but as a wife and mother I know my husband would feel guilty for staying home and making money off of our child. Kate doesn’t even work anymore, she used to work weekends as a nurse to make ends meet. The kids are old enough that she could work weekends or even part time while their kids are at preschool. Jon could also work. I mean this family basically says they need handouts but real struggling parents get innovative and actually scrimp and save. Jon has a personal trainer, took the kids to a Phillies game in a sky box, Kate dresses the kids in free designer clothes and they get free toys and video games. I mean as a parent you have to know what is best for your kids, and just because your bank account is healthy, it doesn’t mean that it is healthy for your kids. What do you think?

Kim from the Real Housewives of Atlanta is an example of why men think women are gold diggers. I mean she is not even married to this Big Poppa guy and she spends his money like it is water. I mean she is saying she earned everything when she was middle class but as a mother she needs to show her daughters that you need to earn what you have. She called Brielle ungrateful but Brielle sees Kim getting everything she wants without even working for it. You cannot be on equal footing with a man if before you are married all you do is sponge money off of him.
Women think being successful is just having access to millions of dollars but you cannot be a personal success to your children if you teach them to find a sugar daddy to give you every thing you want out of life. I mean why would Big Poppa even marry Kim at all? I mean she already has access to his money and spends it all the time. I mean he knows she is with him for his money so marrying her would just give her access to his money if they divorced. There is really no reason for him to ever marry her. I think Kim needs to work to show her daughters that she can provide for them. What do you think?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta new episode on October 21, 2008 was a decent episode. The ladies decided to visit Kim’s psychic. NeNe was told that she would be receiving a letter and lo and behold she did end up receiving a letter. NeNe received a letter stating that her father Curtis might not be her biological father after all. NeNe was very shocked and upset that one of her mother’s sisters had sent her that letter. She and her father Curtis do not have a very good relationship at all. They had not spoken in two years but NeNe decided to call him and ask him if he had doubts that he was her biological father. NeNe decided that she wanted to get a DNA test done to find out the truth and that is where the episode ended with NeNe. Kim is becoming quite the little backstabber, now she’s suddenly Sheree’s BFF? I mean NeNe has been there for Kim and the only reason why Sheree even wants to hang around Kim is because she wants to stick it to NeNe. We learned that DeShawn is throwing her annual diamond gala fundraiser and that there will be an auction. What will happen with NeNe and her father? I guess we will have to see on next week’s episode.

The latest Duggars 17 Kids and Counting episode on October 20, 2008 was about how thrifty the Duggars are. The family was also visited and filmed by a Korean film crew. We saw the twenty acre lot where the family rents out commercial space to different companies. We learned that a cell phone company placed a cell phone tower on a piece of property that the Duggars own. We saw Michelle take some of her sons shoes shopping at the local thrift store. We saw the family spend nearly two thousand dollars when they went grocery shopping at Aldi’s. One cringe moment was when thegirls were giving each other at home perms and said they have long hair because their daddy likes them to wear their hair that way. I have to say that they are very thrifty. They make their own laundry detergent, do at home haircuts and perms, buy used clothes, shoes, and supplies, and have now even decided to garden and grow their own food. We should all try and live debt free. It would help our economy. What did you think of the latest episode of the Duggar’s 17 Kids and Counting?
