Michael Jackson started working before the age of ten which took a toll on his life and left him no childhood at all. It seems like this is becoming all too common in Hollywood. Now children are being filmed for reality tv shows, are becoming child models, and actors. It is sad and it happens all too much. I remember Corey Feldman talking about the cost of fame at a young age, he was negatively impacted by it. As we all stop to remember Michael Jackson, who was 50 years old and a father of three, let’s learn something about ourselves. Life is very short and anyone, even the King of Pop can die so suddenly. Rest in Peace -Michael Jackson 1958-2009!

TLC the network that produces Jon and Kate Plus 8 has said that the show will not have any new episodes until August 3, 2009 so that the family can regroup and refocus. I think a month is not really long enough to regroup after all of the media scandal. Kate filed the divorce papers and said that the weekend’s activities forced her to do it. I think Jon spent time with his kids and went apartment shopping in NYC which is not all that bad considering that they were separated at the time anyway. I feel bad for Jon, he kind of gets a bad rap in the media. I hope that he can find what he is looking for in life and get back to what he was before the fame.

Today, I was watching the news and there was a report saying that Jon and Kate Goseelin have filed their divorce papers. I think this will finally end all of the paparazzi at their PA home. I think Jon really wanted some closure and he is looking to recapture his old self. I guess they are both going to film the show separately still. I hope that the family can work through this nicely. Many times there are hurt feelings in divorce and I think that the eight kids need both of their parents equally.

The Real Housewives of NJ aired last night! I am sad to see the series end since I am also a housewife. I loved the Teresa turning over the table incident.I also liked that Chris, Jacqueline’s husband and Dina’s and Caroline’s brother told them all that they were acting like fools and invited Danielle to his home any time. Caroline copped to exposing the book at Chateau.  Jacqueline showed her backbone and set the record straight.  Caroline said Jacqueline was hurting her parents, but you could see that Caroline and Dina wanted Jacqueline to come to their defense. The drama was ripe, and I am glad that things have settled down and Jacqueline had her new baby son Nicholas. I have to give props to Teresa for flipping that table it made my week! I hope there is a season 2. I love these housewives!

The Teutls from American Chopper recently visited the Gosselins to customize a chopper bike for Jon Gosselin. Mikey visited with the sextuplets and got to play with them. I really enjoy Mikey, he is such a care free guy. You can tell that he understands family dysfunction. The Teutuls wanted to get to know Jon so that they could make him a bike that fits his personality. Kate also got a pink scooter.  I liked the motorcycle that Jon got, it fit his personality and had many special touches.You could also see the tension between Jon and Kate, it is hard to avoid seeing that.

As we all know Danielle Staub is the subject of scandal because of a book called Cop Without a Badge. I have not read the book, but I do watch the Real Housewives of NJ and I have to say that I would never have gone on a reality show if I wanted to keep that book a secret. Danielle says she did nothing wrong but you can see why the women would be concerned about someone who was associated with a kidnapper. I fell bad for Christine and Jillian because they are her kids and will be teased in school about their mother. I mean it was bad enough her talking about having let’s call it phone intimacy with a stranger and then asking her boyfriend to go with her to the bathroom. There are 2 episodes left in the season, I am looking forward to Teresa flipping that table in the finale.

This week on Jon and Kate Plus 8, Kate celebrated her birthday without Jon and went to visit Duff Goldman with her kids and made cakes. I have to say I am a little suspicious about what is going on here. It is like TLC is purposely trying to play up the whole Jon and Kate spend no time together so that people feel bad for Kate. I think Jon is a great dad and you can tell that the media is trying to make him out to be the bad guy. I personally think that it must be hard to be tabloid talk and that Jon deserves a break. I thought it was cute that he put up the swing set again and took his kids on a walk even though Alexis did get injured. I hope that there is some resolve soon but I doubt it because they do get money to make these episodes.

This week on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle threw a botox/spa party for all of the housewives in her home. Dina was bringing the snark but in my opinion, botox is a little nuts to do. I mean isn’t botulism something that if you get you die, but you will inject it into your face? I agree with Caroline it is weird, but as Theresa says to each their own. Theresa had Gia meet Wilhemina agents, I have to say Theresa is not a stage mom. You can see that Gia is just as interested in modeling and acting as Theresa is. The agent was not over the moon about Gia and Theresa had to redo her comp cards. Theresa had a huge photo shoot done and Gia’s new pictures looked great.Jacqueline Laurita’s daughter, Ashley failed two classes and has to go to summer school, I agree with Caroline that school is a job and she should have passed. Jacqueline was mad that her husband Chris bought Ashley a car. I agree with Albie, what would she get if she got locked up in jail? Many people do not take school seriously but it is a luxury to go to private school so you should at least pass your classes. Danielle was offended by Dina and talked to Jacqueline about it. Jacqueline hates being in the middle. Danielle loves drama and was going to break up with Steve at her birthday dinner at the table. Then, Danielle interrupted Jacqueline’s and Theresa’s play date to vent about Steve. I think Danielle is trying to be the star but Caroline and the others just do not really want her around.

I have to say I really like the Little Couple show on TLC. I really love Jen, she is so sweet.  I just think that even though she is 3′2, she is still a strong and brilliant person. I mean she takes her dwarfism and is really trying to show others that you can be successful. I thought Bill did a great job at getting her birthday gifts. I think moving can be a difficult situation for newlyweds, especially when it is cross country but Bill is being good about it. I thought that the car part was hard, I am 4′11 and need cushions but she needs like 8 or 9 and that cannot be fun to sit on. I really like this couple and I hope that Jen can get her wish and be a mom by either natural means or adoption.

Last night, I watched the season 5 premiere of Jon and Kate Plus 8.I have to say I felt bad for Jon more than I did for Kate. I mean Jon sad that he quit working two years ago to stay home with his kids and he felt bad because he was not working like he used to. He also just wants his normal life back. Kate said that the cameras and fame are not going to stop. Sadly, I think that if Jon wants to be off camera then his marriage to Kate will end because she loves the limelight. I really did not enjoy her bashing Jon for not helping with the party prep, I mean it is like he is only of use to her when he does her errands or chores. The coldness between the two was quite clear especially at the birthday party. I felt bad when Alexis was talking to Jon about the little boy she brought and then said that she wants her daddy to come home. Jon told her that some daddy’s don’t come home because they have to work. He gave her a big hug and a kiss and you can tell that he really does miss his kids.I think maybe he only lives there when Kate is away, but I am not sure. All in all, I thought that this episode showed how fame can screw up your lives, not multiples. I mean yes there is stress but most people would respect their husband’s wishes if he said I want the cameras off and my life back, but that is just me.
